EcoMatters aim is to be a tohu (focal point) to connect people and the environment and to nurture kaitiakitanga (guardianship) – by working together to restore the mauri of our environment.
EcoMatters Environment Trust is a non-profit hub that runs environmental outreach projects, education workshops and a number of social enterprises to help fund our mission – caring for our precious environment.
EcoMatters is a place where people come together to share ideas about living well. Through hands-on community engagement, EcoMatters provides the means by which people can build awareness of current local and global issues, and join in the movement for social and environmental sustainability.
We provide partnering opportunities to work together to restore and protect our wild and urban spaces. These projects include restoration of bush and water health, waste minimisation, energy conservation and local food growing.
