Underfloor insulation

I’m baffled by all the product names on Consumer’s site and elsewhere – I want to compare Snugfloor (which I understand is a wool/polyester mix) and polystyrene panels. I’ve been told that polystyrene panels retain moisture if they get wet. Not sure how true this is. I favour Snugfloor but not sure if it’s stood the test of time yet (will it sag, eventually?)

But as it is fibre glass it will break down and lose performance over time as with all fibre glass products. Novafloor from novatherm is a very good way to go, x-pol is just polystyrene so it can soak up water can leave alot of mess after install.
Aircell is also a very good product as it acts as a moisture barrier as well as insulating

I can’t comment on the wool polyester stuff, but Snugfloor is a new form of Pink Batts made of glass wool, specifically for underfloors. It is stiffer to stay in place, and is also strapped in place meaning it will not sag. As it is glass wool, it does not attract rodents or affect electrical cables.
