Gas Central Heating

I live in a house with a new natural gas connection and am wondering about installing an energy efficient gas central heating rather than a ‘fire place’ or electric heat pump. Would installation of a gas central heating system qualify for the heating subsidy?

The grant on clean heat is $500 for flued gas heating.
